Jeffrey Lynn Swepson, 59, of Marion, NC, went to be with the Lord in the morning hours of June 9th 2017. His children had been by his side as he left this world, he was not alone.

Mr. Swepson was born on February 20th 1958 in McDowell County to Lula Arvis Swepson and the late Cecil Swepson Sr.

Jeffrey graduated McDowell High and thereafter went into the Army. He then became a master welder after being honorably discharged and was also a man with a gift for words, writing many a well thought poem.

In addition to his father, Jeffrey was preceded in passing by his brothers, Karl Bradford Swepson, Todd Alan Swepson, Cecil Swepson, Jr., and Anthony Stewart Swepson.

Surviving Jeff are his mother, Lula Arvis Swepson, of Marion, sisters, Gloria (Larry) Boyce, and Gwendolyn Gail Williams, both of Marion, sons: Colon Largent, Carlo Swepson, Ismael (Jaclyn) Swepson, all of Charlotte, Nico Swepson, of Marion, and daughter Khalin Swepson, of Marion; Also grandchildren, Riley Jaye Swepson and Parker Lynn Swepson (named for her grandfather), both of Charlotte.

Jeff was a spirited individual who brought so much energy into the room. He was extremely intelligent and could open the most closed of minds. Mr. Swepson (Swep) will be missed by so many but his memory will be cherished greatly by all that knew him and his brimming persona. Jeffrey grew to know the Lord in life and is with Him now.

Kirksey Funeral Home in Marion has the honor of serving the Swepson family. Online condolences may be made to www.kirkseyfhmarion.com.
